Town of Star Valley Ranch

The Star Valley Ranch resort was initially developed during the early 1970’s. By the mid 1990’s, it consisted of 21 plats totaling 2052 lots. Star Valley Ranch also included 27 holes of golf, two swimming pools, tennis courts, etc.

In recent years, the Star Valley Ranch has experienced accelerating growth an a change in demographics from a vacation community to a year-round residential community. Along with that growth and change has been an increased in water demand. As the system ages and population grows, the Star Valley Ranch Association has been faced with increasingly serious water system infrastructure problems. These problems included:

Aging and Deteriorated Piping
Limited Water Supply
Increasingly Regulatory Requirements
Water Rights
Lack of Fire Protection for large homes and businesses
Limited System Funding for Maintenance and Capital Improvement Needs
