SUMMARY:
Mr. Coy is the Field Supervisor and President of Weston Engineering, Inc. His duties and experience cover a broad spectrum of projects ranging from well drilling, development and completion to pump testing, permanent pump selection, pipe sizing, and electrical system and control design to well rehabilitation. He frequently provides start-up, trouble-shooting, and final inspection services. He serves municipalities, water districts, agricultural industries, coal mines, residential clients, oil and gas companies, and dewatering systems. His attention to detail and daily research with pumping system suppliers lends to his expertise in design and evaluation of pumping systems.

Mr. Coy has gained field experience over the years on a variety of projects related to groundwater development and production for many water systems in Wyoming and South Dakota. Mr. Coy has provided support services for high capacity wells at Douglas, Glenrock, Worland, the Bighorn Regional Joint Powers Board (BHRJBP), and Brunner Brothers at Nisland, SD. He has provided well evaluation services on Wyoming Water Development Commission projects sponsored by the Town of Star Valley Ranch, Kaycee, Worland, Greybull, Gillette, Cheyenne, Canyon, Rawlins, Sundance, Wright, Hulett, Moorcroft, Upton, Vista West, LaGrange, Superior, Dayton, and the BHRJPB. He provides pump system services for water districts in the Gillette area including American Road, Antelope Valley, Bennor Estates, Buckskin, Countryside Estates, Crestview Estates, Force Road, Heritage Village, Means, Northland Village Estates, Peoples, Prospector Village, Rocky Point, Sleepy Hollow, South Fork Estates, Stone Gate Estates, Sunburst, Windy Ridge, and others.
Mr. Coy’s expertise in pump trouble-shooting makes him a pump installer contractor of choice for numerous coal mines with deep set pumps in the Powder River Basin, including Antelope, Blackhills Corp, Black Thunder, Caballo, Coal Creek, Cordero, Decker, Dry Fork, Eagle Butte, Jacobs Ranch, Kerr McGee, North Antelope, Rawhide, and WyoDak.
With age, water supply wells frequently require rehabilitation and Mr. Coy has performed rehabilitation programs on numerous wells. Water systems that have benefited from his expertise include Marbleton, Big Piney, Kaycee, Greybull, Colonial Pine Hills, and Sturgis.
Communities in South Dakota using Mr. Coy’s expertise include the Cities of Spearfish, Rapid City, Box Elder, Wall, and Sturgis and the Towns of Vale, Kadoka, Murdo, Newell, and Belvedere. Mr. Coy assisted the City of Sturgis, South Dakota with solving problems related to electrical/telemetry controls and rehabilitation of the pumping equipment in their four primary water source wells. He also assisted in installation of sand filtration equipment and pressure control valves located at the well sites and within the distribution system.
